With over 20 years of specialized experience in debt recovery, Marc Côté has developed a deep expertise in the strategic management of unpaid accounts. Having worked with businesses across a wide range of industries—including construction, food, heavy equipment, and distribution—he has built a loyal client base over the years, while continuing to take on new mandates referred to the firm.
As Director of Collections at Bessette Avocats Inc., Mr. Côté acts on behalf of the firm’s clients to ensure effective recovery of outstanding receivables. He handles the analysis and proactive management of delinquent accounts, negotiates settlements, and works closely with the firm’s lawyers to escalate files legally and lead legal proceedings when necessary. A skilled negotiator, he is often able to persuade debtors to reach settlement agreements in order to avoid the negative consequences of civil litigation.
